Advanced Level Apprenticeship
Gemini Systems are a retail motor industry Dealer Management System provider in Lincoln who are currently offering a really exciting opportunity for an Apprentice to join their Helpdesk team, with good chance to work your way up in a Support environment.
Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:
As part of the aftersales team, you will be responsible for advising and assisting Gemini Systems customers with issues and queries related to their Gemini Systems software.
Where relevant, it may also be necessary to assist with queries related to hardware/network infrastructure.
Assistance will be given by phone, email, remote connections such as Windows RDP/TeamViewer and through their bespoke customer support portal solution.
You will also be required to regularly attend customer sites to carry out installation, configuration and training of software.
Requirements and prospects
Excellent and logical problem solving skills
Good knowledge of business networks, including use of thin clients
Good knowledge of Sage or other business accounting software
Demonstrate ability to work as part of a team, on own initiative, under pressure
5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

Learners will receive ten weeks of intensive training. Whilst in the workplace, apprentices will also receive continual assessment, and help and guidance from a dedicated trainer who will be there to ensure that they get the most from their work experience.
This apprenticeship will give you a Level 3 Infrastructure Technician Standard with training in areas such as:
Functional skills, Maths L2 and English L2
PC Fundamentals & Customer Service Skills
Business Processes & Network Fundamentals
Coding & Logic
Networking and Architecture
Some of these modules will include an option to take an examination in order to receive a professional certificate.
