What you’ll be doing

About the role

Our Quality Engineer Trainees follow a training programme as part of our accredited CQI scheme. Depending on project requirements, you will be site or office based.

You’ll have visibility in key areas of our business – these could include construction, design, operations, supply chain, safety and commercial – and you’ll soon appreciate the important role of quality. Our aim is to develop your skills and to help you reach your full potential. The program aims to give you exposure to quality and engineering with a clear focus on site experience, with responsibility for process control and compliance.

As your programme progresses you will have increased responsibility dealing with specialist contractors, construction workforce and will take the lead for solving technical problems. Throughout you will ensure compliance with our Health and Safety agenda and aspire to a quality management or Project Management career

Who we’re looking for

To be considered for our trainee scheme, you’ll have:
– Minimum grade C or higher in A levels, Scottish Highers or equivalent
– Ideally experience within an engineering or construction environment.

– A flexible approach to work (you may be required to relocate, as part of your training)
– A team-focus with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people at all levels
– A driven, self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work on your own initiative
