What is the GSK Apprenticeship Programme?

Are you looking for an alternative route to college or university? GSK can provide you with endless opportunities. The GSK Apprenticeship Programme will give you hands-on experience in your chosen discipline and the opportunity to play a key role in contributing to the future success of the company. While you learn on-the-job from industry leaders (and earn a competitive salary), you will study towards a nationally recognised qualification, which could lead to further study towards an honors degree or post-graduate qualification.

GSK offers three levels of Apprenticeships:

Advanced Apprenticeship – Have you just finished your GCSEs and are looking for a fresh challenge? With a GSK Advanced Apprenticeship, you’ll learn invaluable skills and build a solid foundation for your future career whilst putting theory into practice. During this Apprenticeship you’ll gain a nationally recognised qualification in either of the following, depending on your aspirations, business and admin, engineering, design and artwork, manufacturing and laboratory.

Higher Apprenticeship – This is aimed at those who have just finished college and are looking for an alternative route to university. As a GSK employee you’ll have responsibility and accountability in a real job, combined with dedicated support and training to help you flourish and make an impact. This Apprenticeship consists of one of the following areas, business and supply chain, finance, health and safety, laboratory, pharmaceutical technical, project management, IT and manufacturing scientist.

Degree Apprenticeship – Do you want to get a degree without the worry of tuition fees? It sounds almost too good to be true but you can do just that with GSK whilst working alongside industry experts in challenging roles that help make an impact. You will have countless opportunities as well as training and support to gain the skills needed to help you develop. The digital and technology degree Apprenticeship is designed for innovative thinkers who understand the key importance IT has in a business like GSK.
