Airbus Apprenticeships: What you need to know

Apprentices are our future, so we invest in them. Whether you choose an engineering or a business apprenticeship you will receive a salary, an academic or a vocational qualification, hands-on training and work where you can make a real contribution on projects of vital importance to the future of aerospace.

At Airbus our people work with passion and determination to build and create amazing products – perhaps an aircraft you may already have flown on, or the satellites that help keep you connected! We look for people who have a passion for learning and want to work in an industry that is always looking to the future.

The highly technical nature of the aerospace industry has created a huge demand for skilled and qualified specialists in the UK. That is why, at Airbus, we have carefully designed our apprenticeship programmes to give you valuable practical training while you complete your studies. Our programmes provide a clear route for you to make your career fly. We have apprenticeship opportunities for school and college leavers, including degree apprenticeships.

What apprenticeships are available?

Craft & Technical Apprenticeships

For GCSE school leavers, we have a range of opportunities across our engineering operations at out Broughton & Filton sites (nr Chester and Bristol respectively).

On completion, you will receive related NVQ, BTEC or City & Guilds engineering qualifications according to your apprenticeship

Applications are open from September until February each year

Application reviews are ongoing, so apply as soon as you can.

To apply, you’ll need 5 GCSEs including:

Maths B/6, English Lang C/4, Science (double award, or Physics single award) C/4, & two other GCSEs at C/4 grade.

Degree Apprenticeships

A Degree Apprenticeship is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a degree with one of our many Educational Partners whilst also developing experience onsite at Airbus.

In addition to being part of an Apprentice community, building transferable skills and achieving your academic potential, you will also be able to earn whilst you learn and avoid gaining student debt as Airbus will cover all fees.
