Beauty Apprenticeships – Glamour and Glitz

Do you like to make people feel good about themselves? Could you sit for hours on end watching makeup tutorials on Youtube? Then a beauty Apprenticeship might be right up your street.

The beauty industry can be tough to crack. An Apprenticeship is definitely the best route to go down, you can learn and gain the experience needed to go on to have a successful career in the beauty industry.

Different Types of Beauty Apprenticeships

The beauty industry is a very broad field. It’s not just about painting faces, there are plenty of other opportunities available to you.

Listed below are some of the Apprenticeship routes you can consider in the beauty industry:

Makeup artist: From highlighting and contouring to false eyelashes or the latest fad strobing, you’ll keep up to date with all the latest trends as the industry continues to grow.

Nails: Do you want an Apprenticeship at the tip of your fingertips? Quite literally when it comes down to nail technician Apprenticeships. Here you’ll learn how to paint, shape and decorate nails, from manicures and pedicures to acrylics. People now have their nails done to perfection 24/7 as opposed to every now and again for a special occasion. So this is an excellent trade to be involved with.

Spa Therapists: Do you want to promote a sense of therapeutic benefits for you client? That’s exactly what ‘therapists’ do. You’ll relieve stress through massages, body scrubs, body wraps and facials.

Aesthetics: Unfortunately, if you want to stick pins and needles in people you can’t do an Apprenticeship. The only way to become qualified for this is through a course. Surprisingly, you don’t have to be a nurse to specialise in this. We’re not entirely sure how we feel about this but if you’re interested in an aesthetic course and you have zero qualifications it’s good news for you! You can do Beauty Apprenticeships at Level 1, 2 and 3.

What’s next?

All of these areas of beauty have excellent prospects. You can progress to salon manager or supervisor, you could even open up your own salon if you’re determined enough. Perhaps you like to be on the go, why not become self employed and travel to clients?
