Business Administration Apprenticeships in Leeds

Widely considered Yorkshire’s trendiest city, Leeds is an excellent location for anyone seeking to undertake a business administration apprenticeship. It’s a city with a buzz about it and host to many large employers.

Over recent years Leeds has developed as a major financial services and legal centre. As these industries have grown, the demand for individuals with good administration skills has also increased.

An added benefit of this career choice is that business administration apprenticeships are available no matter what stage you are in your working life. They can also lead on to a wide variety of career paths. You may start as a personal assistant but go on to be a project manager.

An apprenticeship at intermediate level would be ideal for someone working in data entry, as a receptionist or in some other supportive, administrative role. An advanced programme would suit someone like an office manager or human resources manager.

Leeds is based in West Yorkshire and has excellent transport links to other cities such as Sheffield, Manchester and London. These superb links have helped the city to thrive and attracted businesses to the area. Big employers include; Yorkshire Bank, First Direct bank, Leeds Building Society, Northern Foods and Asda Walmart.

Leeds is a great location if you enjoy sport. Yorkshire County Cricket Club is based in Headingley and the city is also home to rugby league club Leeds Rhinos and Championship football team Leeds United.

The city also boasts two major universities;the University of Leeds and Leeds Beckett University. There is a massive student population in the city, totalling about 250,000 people. Partly as a result of this, Leeds is well known for having a very good nightlife.

In addition to this, the BBC and National Health Service have offices in the area. All these organisations require administrators. This makes a business administration apprenticeship a superb choice.
