What do manufacturing Apprenticeships involve?

Manufacturing Apprenticeships combine on the job practical training with academic study where you’ll explore a wealth of learning and development throughout your Apprenticeship. You’ll increase your skills technically and hands on capabilities.

Let’s look at a small handful of roles available to you:

• Production Process Operator – Process operators are responsible for the safety and efficiency of manufacturing plant, the facilities equipment and tools. They also operate machinery and ensure everything is running as expected.

• Welding and Fabricator – Welder and fabricators can be based in construction or manufacturing companies and are involved in creating new structured and frames to replace or repair current ones. You’ll also learn how to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.

• Manufacturing Engineer – As a manufacturing engineer you’ll be involved with the design, fabricating and production of a range of products. You could be developing new vehicles, food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals and much more.

• Food Manufacturer – Food manufacturers are involved with food production and packaging. You’ll also ensure packaging isn’t harmful to the environment and making sure nutrition guidelines are met.
