Mechanic Apprenticeships what you need to know Industry Guides

Mechanic Apprenticeships

The motor vehicle industry is one that has changed a lot over the last few years. The second hand car industry has soared, and with it so has the demand for professional maintenance and repair. Since the industry is generally a very practical one, the most common way into it is through an apprenticeship.

What will you learn during a mechanic apprenticeship?

Mechanic apprenticeships will teach you both the theory and practical skills required to work in a professional vehicle workshop. You will be trained in all aspects of vehicle maintenance, service and repair, for a variety of common vehicles and engines. Most places will have an extended course available if you wish to continue on to do an advanced apprenticeship qualification, which will be recognised across the motor industry.
