The Opportunity
You will be following the government approved Level 6 Project Management Degree Apprenticeship. You will learn from industry leading experts and gain valuable experience while studying for a bachelors degree in Project Management, awarded by University of Cumbria.
Project Managers are the people who have the responsibility of delivering projects safely, on schedule and on budget. At NRS you will be working alongside world class experts and potentially leading on projects that are at the forefront of innovation and problem solving. You will be tested and challenged as you work under demanding deadlines. You will get on the job training at your allocated NRS site and the kind of practical experience you can’t get in a college based environment.
What will it look like?
This is a four-year Degree Apprenticeship based at your allocated NRS location with a blend of online and face to face learning at the University of Cumbria. You will be working towards a professional Project Management degree. You will be supported at College and on site with regular reviews, to help ensure you complete your apprenticeship tasks. What do I need?
- Minimum of 96 UCAS Points, at A Level all subjects considered.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade 4 (Grade C) and above including Mathematics, English and Science.
- Vocational equivalents at level 3 or higher will also be considered as equivalent to UCAS points.
- Aged 18 or over on the 01.09.2024
- A passion for the nuclear industry.
- Self motivated but also a team player.
- Can manage your own time well and balance work and study effectively.

Additional requirements
ALL NRS employees must be security cleared prior to employment.
You will need to live within commuting distance to the site where the role is based. Although you will be predominantly based at your allocated site, you can expect on the job training that could take you to any of our 12 sites across the UK providing you with the practical experience you need to complete your apprenticeship.
