The CW CofeX develops, designs and tests Warheads for MBDA missiles.
Warhead Development follows a product lifecycle starting with a concept, design definitions, assessment, technical specification, design, test equipment and maturity of concepts through into manufacture.
What's the opportunity?
An Undergraduate opportunity is available for a numerate, proactive engineer or scientist within the Complex Warheads Centre of Excellence (CW CofeX).
You could be expected to provide technical support at any stage during this process. This could include producing detailed design definitions, carrying out concept assessment using modelling simulations, analysing and assessing performance data collecting during trials, or designing and planning trials for Warhead proving.
The Warheads department offers independent working on real-life problems from day one, while offering the full support and encouragement of an experienced team of professional engineers and scientists.
You may also be expected to travel as part of the placement.

Currently studying a technical or engineering-related degreediscipline, such as Aeronautical, Aerospace, Mechanical or Systems Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or Maths
