Customer Service Advisor: This is a permanent full-time position (37 hours per week)

Location - We're looking for people who can work from home but commute to our Stockport office at least once a month.

Salary - £23,757 per annum+ annual bonus of up to 16% (paid quarterly)

Shift patterns (including training hours) - Monday to Friday 9.00am -5.00pm but there will also be two earlier starts at 8.30am each week so you can spend time on business updates and connecting with your team mates.

Start date July/Aug/Sept 2022 - You will be training in our Stockport office for 2.5 weeks. Please make sure this fits in with any pre-booked time off you may have because we cannot allow any holidays during this time.

What you'll be doing…

  • You'll be working on our Home Movers Team dealing with inbound calls from our new and existing domestic customers who are moving home. You'll be asking the right questions, having open and honest conversations, and making it your priority to support and deliver an amazing Home Move experience for our customers.
  • Focussing on their needs and providing the right solution first time whilst taking relevant steps to ensure we deliver against our promises
  • Providing amazing service, always with care and courage
  • We have some amazing products and services at British Gas and we'd like you to tell our customers about them to help grow our business. We want you to deliver simple, sustainable, and affordable products across all our customer base.
  • Providing consistent, effective, and strong customer service behaviours whilst meeting KPI's and positive Net Promoter Scores

And the skills we need from you…

  • Your absolute passion and flair for delivering amazing customer service should be one of your motivational drivers
  • This is a regulated sales role so you'll need an understanding of how to work in this environment.
  • Naturally you should and have fantastic communication skills both written and verbal, and we'll be assessing for these skills throughout our recruitment process.
  • This department is super-fast paced and, at times, can be high pressure so your resilience, agility and ownership skills are key to this role.
  • You'll also need the confidence to escalate any issues or process improvements to the wider business areas.
  • Oh, and don't forget we'd love to see you self-develop and improve your skills in the role and the wider business - we'll support you with that too!
