Overview: 


We are now looking for an eager candidate to join us as an apprentice. 


You will have the opportunity to gain valuable skills, knowledge and experience as you complete a Data Analyst - Level 3 Apprenticeship. 


Key responsibilities: 



  • Analysis of all revenues marketing and e-commerce metrics generated by National Express Coaches to accurately identify reasons for change and opportunities for growth

  • Accurate and timely reporting of revenues, volumes, capacity, utilisation etc. to NX management and executives on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis. This to include production and distribution

  • To support the wider Commercial team in the compilation of budgets and key performance indicators for all commercial metrics

  • Forecasting / Prediction of revenues, volumes, utilisation etc. to inform the business on strategic pricing and capacity strategies

  • Day to day updating and management of commercial data and information 

  • Management and enhancement of the NX Competition Monitor, Disruption Tracker, Weekly revenue monitor, etc.


What we are looking for: 


Desirable skills:



  • Emphasis on candidates with background in Mathematics / Statistics / Economics / Business Studies

  • MS Excel skills; Tableau experience desired


Personal qualities:



  • Logical thinker with excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written with experience of presenting to the senior management team

  • Able to manage own time and prioritise work

  • Good team worker, but also capable of working alone.

  • Proven self-starter 


Entry requirements:


The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:



  • 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject

  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)

  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject 


You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 


If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary: 


£18,525 per annum.

Future prospects: 


Once you have successfully completed the apprenticeship, potentially you could gain an entry-level full-time position within the team or movement onto a higher-level apprenticeship. 


Both would be based on teams’ current capacity.
