Overview: 


An exciting new opportunity has arisen for a DevOps Analyst Apprentice where you will play an active part in the success of the company. 


This would suit someone who is looking to work in an exciting environment that offers variety and the ability to make a genuine impact on the business.


Key Responsibilities:


This DevOps Analyst role is varied and will see you taking on multiple responsibilities, including:



  • System administration and software test / development.

Desired skills and experience



  • Programming skills, such as: React.js, Node. js, Java, Java Script

  • Containerization (Docker and Kubernetes)

  • Knowledge on ELK Stack

  • Exposure to Scrum/Agile methodologies would be advantageous

  • Experience to implement Git Hub with segregation of Teams and Code

  • Experience in design and setup from scratch the CI/CD pipelines using Git Hub

  • Experience in DevOps practices for continuous integration and continuous deployment and creating repositories and build CI/CD pipelines.

  • Education/Qualifications Qualified to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience

  • Experience in Linux, Bash, Python, Git

  • Good analytical and writing skills 

  • Good team player

  • Passionate about technology and continuous learning comes naturally to you


Entry requirements:


The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:



  • Level 3 Software apprenticeship

  • OR A-Level in a STEM subject (in Technology and Maths fields only) and successful completion of our Aptitude Test

  • OR BTEC Diploma in IT and successful completion of our Aptitude Test

  • OR two years' experience in a relevant role and successful completion of our Aptitude Test


You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme. 


If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Salary:


£18,000 per annum.


Working week:


Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm.


40hrs a week.


Future prospects:


The role offers long term security and the opportunity either progress onto further / higher apprenticeship training or gain a permanent position.

QA’s apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education. 


To be eligible for a Government funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.
