What will you be doing? Routine technical approvals and tanker washout assessments Clinical waste expertise, audits and guidance ADR compliance audits for both internal and external transport Transport security plans including HCDG provisions Technical support for Sales & Operations including technical approvals, production of consignment notes, technical support with customers, finding outlets for hazardous waste DGSA formal duties (investigation into incidents, annual reports, ADR change implications and communication of same to Operations) Day to day systems compliance Providing waste related technical guidance to external customers directly and in conjunction with other internal departments Liaison with Regulatory and other authorities as required Technical Training of staff What are we looking for? HNC or higher in a Science related subject and firm foundation in Chemistry is essential Minimum 3 years experience working in a Technical / QHSE management / advisory role Good working knowledge of Chemistry and legislation relevant to waste Good working knowledge of permitting systems relevant to waste management industry Experience of working with regulatory authorities is desirable Our promise to you Here at Veolia, we know that a genuinely good role goes both ways.
