We are looking for someone who is looking for an apprenticeship in Childcare to join our smally, friendly and very homely nursery and dedicated team. You will learn all areas of a childcare environment and gain your qualification along the way. You must love being around children and be committed to help in the running of our setting, joining in with a range of activities and outings as well as helping with mealtimes, nappy changing, writing observations, planning and daily diaries. You must be willing to learn, have motivation and have a kind, patient and caring nature. You must be a team player. The position available is fun and rewarding, and the hope would be that the candidate would progress to being a qualified nursery practitioner within our setting at the end of the apprenticeship. Duties include: Candidates will study Early Years and Childcare (Levels 2 and 3), alongside working in our nursery following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum. They will see how our nursery practitioner team inspire, challenge, and ignite children’s curiosity throughout the day whilst in both child and adult led activities. Apprentices will learn how qualified staff observe, assess and record children’s progression within the EYFS framework. Apprentices are employees of the nursery and become part of the team in all respects. As such they will be required to attend Staff Meetings and continue to progress following their own Personal Development Plan and ensure they keep on top of their studies to complete the Early Years Qualification. They will assist our own team with cleaning, organisational and food preparation tasks at the setting as instructed by our nursery manager. In time, they will also learn how to carry out appropriate risk assessments. Confidentiality is taken extremely seriously and must be adhered to at all times along with working in a fully inclusive manner. |
