ICE offer professional qualification support which is aimed at those that are either already working in the civil engineering industry or if you already have a civil engineering qualification. (degree, foundation degree, diploma or higher certificate) If you fit the bill then ICE can help you advance your career. ICE qualifications are recognised worldwide and by becoming a professional through ICE you’ll gain academic qualifications in fields such as technician engineer, incorporated engineer, chartered engineer with the work experience and professional review to back up your knowledge, experience and capabilities.
During your work experience you’ll gain a broad range of specialist skills that will help you to become professionally qualified whilst also completing your Initial Professional Development (IPD) in one of the following ways –

You’ll then undergo a professional review which involved showing off your knowledge. You’ll need to produce a report with evidence as to how you meet the requirements of becoming a professional. You’ll then be given the chance to showcase your knowledge, skills and understanding through an interview with experienced civil engineering professionals who will ask you questions and discuss your report and this will then be followed by a written exercise.
