We have a great opportunity for an experienced accounts administrator/bookkeeper to join a well-established brand business in Northampton.

As the companys bookkeeper, you will be responsible for delivering the efficient day to day accounts administration, as well as commercial and group admin support. Were looking for someone with 5+ years accountancy experience, and an accountancy AAT L4 or equivalent qualification is highly desirable
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Nominal ledger entries, e.g. prepayments, accruals, fixed asset depreciation
Bank Reconciliations and Cashflow reporting
Maintain cashbook
HMRC- Import Deferment statements
VAT returns
Assist with month end management reporting to meet group reporting deadlines (including P&L, BS, TB and debtor/creditor ledgers)
Credit Control procedures and collections
Month end sales ledger reconciliation
Clearing freight inbound invoices from various suppliers (links with HMRC Deferment Statements)
Ensure Creditors are paid on time via electronic payments
Month end purchase ledger reconciliation
Support Group finance with the annual audit and any internal audit requests
Accounts and admin filing
Stock management/stock taking
Skills & Experience
5+ years experience working in an accounts environment
Demonstrable problem solving skills
Computer literate, must be competent with Excel
Team player but able to work on own initiative
Ability to engage professionally with customers and suppliers
High attention to detail
Accounting AAT level 4 or similar (desirable)
Spare parts or Distribution Industry experience (desirable)
Previous knowledge of JEEVES accounting (desirable)
