At Graysons - British Library you will be working towards Production Chef Level 2 over the duration of 15 months, alongside your daily roles and responsibilities.
Your daily roles and responsibilities will include;
- Gain an understanding of all areas of working in the kitchen through section rotation as directed by the Head Chef
- Support in the production, preparation, presentation and service of food items for customers and events
- Work in accordance with the unit operating procedures in relation to the Café service and hospitality ensuring its timely completion
- Assist with the monitoring/ordering of kitchen food stocks ensuring that stock is correctly rotated, maintained and stored to avoid wastage
- Assist the Head Chef with planning, production, quantity and specification of each dish prepared
- Fulfil all cleaning tasks as identified by the cleaning schedule using the appropriate cleaning materials in a safe and responsible manner
