What will you do?
Join our Digital Engineering Placement Scheme at Nestlé and you will begin an exciting 12-month journey, gaining experience and exposure across different categories. Focused on data management and analytics, you’ll have the chance to engage with our state-of-the-art technology, processes, and data systems while playing an active role in initiatives to improve data- driven decision making and operational efficiencies.

We will support you to develop your data engineering knowledge by providing varied experiences across a range of scenarios and projects, allowing you to apply your theoretical knowledge to specific data challenges. Collaborating with a team of skilled data engineers and analysts, you will play an important role in supporting the advancement of our digital transformation initiatives, equipping you with the tools and knowledge to have a meaningful impact. You will also work to optimise key performance metrics, including data quality, processing speed, and compliance with data governance standards.

What will you learn?

Technical capabilities: Navigate the complexities of a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) operation, where your decisions will have a significant impact. Develop your technical skills across key methodologies including data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, and data pipeline development.
Problem-solving: Use the skills you develop during the scheme to respond to challenges of varying types and scales, while identifying opportunities and implementing solutions for sustainable success in data management.
Adaptability: Embrace the opportunity to collaborate with diverse teams, cultures, and operational processes as you rotate through different role placements in data engineering.

Eligibility requirements

You will need to have the right to work in the UK that is not time-limited and does not require sponsorship under the Skilled Worker route either at the start of the scheme or on completion.

You’ll need to be in your penultimate year of university studying towards one of the following degree disciplines, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation Engineering, Robotics or Mechatronics and Control Engineering. You will need to be mobile across the UK. What’s also important is your commitment to the scheme and your willingness to learn.

The recruitment journey

If you qualify, we will invite you to complete an online assessment, which you can practicehere. Please do not upload a CV, instead we ask you to upload any relevant qualifications to support your application.

Once you have completed this stage, we will notify you if you are selected to attend an assessment day which will be in February or March 2026. It may take a little bit of time between assessment stages to get back to you; we really appreciate your patience.
