NCE Switchgear are looking for an enthusiastic individual to come in and join their successful and growing team as an Operations Support Apprentice. NCE Switchgear have had a number of people successfully join and complete their modern apprenticeship in a range of different disciplines, and they are looking for their next apprentice to follow in the same steps. You will complete an SCQF level 6 in Digital Applications Support as part of the apprenticeship and full training will be given.

What will I be doing?

Becoming super user of Sage 200 for invoicing and checking over client details
Assisting with preparing and editing basic electrical schematics for switchgear and MCC’s
Using WAP which is a module of Sage 200 for resubmissions
Acting as first responder for incoming calls and triaging these where possible. Also reaching out to customers to detail ongoing projects when required
Use of Radon system where drawings are submitted. Name changes and updates are carried out on this. Details between old and new drawings are also highlighted on this
Use of PDF Pro for editing and resubmitting PDF documents
Use of Microsoft Office Packages such as Excel for reporting, Outlook for emails and Teams for internal collaboration
Creating and updating folders with all the correct documentation for each project
Assisting with requesting materials from procurement

What do I need to be successful?

Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages such as Word and Excel
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and individually when required
Professional approach towards all aspects of work
Good time management, planning and organisational skills

Salary:£16,000 per annum

Working hours:40 hours per week, Monday to Thursday, 8am – 5pm

Benefits:

4 day working week, Monday - Thursday
Salary review upon successful completion of the apprenticeship
