M&S Tax are a boutique tax and accountancy firm who provide a range of tax, business advisory and compliance services to clients on a global basis. Their clients trust them because of the quality of their advice. That quality grows from taking time to understand the client and from working closely with clients to build long-lasting relationships. Consequently, this will be a significantly client facing role.


Many of their clients are referred on from other professional firms who appreciate the skills they have to provide integrated solutions for clients, which is particularly important in relation to our clients who have UK and US taxes to consider. They are therefore virtually unique regarding this in Scotland and have acknowledged expertise in this area through one of our directors.


What's involved?



  • Working in the Digital Support Team as first response to all incoming enquiries from customers to problem solves and provide support and guidance before passing on to the relevant team
  • Becoming a business superuser in the Xero Practice Manager, used for managing client information and generating invoices for the finance team
  • Utilising Capitum to prepare accounts information and handling all tax related tasks
  • Working collaboratively with the finance team to maintain the Virtual Cabinet to store financial documents
  • Utilising Adobe & Microsoft 265 for general document creation, editing and communication tools

Salary: £16,800 per annum


Working week: 35 hours per week,Monday to Thursday 9am – 5pm, Friday 9am - 2pm

Starting with insights into your current potential, they plan your growth in a programmatic way, close skills gaps with immersive training and ensure what you learn is applicable to what you do. They talk you through the specifics on the qualifications you gain and how they align in particular to your day to day role.


On completion, as well as the valuable work experience you have gained, you get a nationally recognised qualification at SCQF Level 6.
