ABOUT THE ROLE

The Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and detail-orientedEstimatorto join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong background in estimating within the construction or contracting sectors. The successful candidate will play a key role in preparing accurate cost estimates, supporting tenders, and working closely with project managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

Prepare and manage cost estimates, tenders, and quotations.

Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare accurate take-offs and pricing.
Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to develop cost-effective solutions.
Assist in value engineering and risk analysis activities.
Maintain strong knowledge of market conditions, costs, and industry trends.
Ensure all estimating activities align with QHSE standards and company values.

REQUIREMENTS

Requirements

Proven experience as an Estimator within the construction/contracting industry.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Strong organisational and time management skills.
