We are seeking a dedicated IT Technician Apprentice to join our team at Bow School, an inclusive and thriving secondary school in Tower Hamlets. If you’re eager to develop your technical skills in a rewarding educational environment, we’d love to hear from you. 


What you’ll be doing:



  • You will provide essential technical support across our school, helping staff and students with IT equipment, software, and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting with the setup and maintenance of computers, interactive whiteboards, and other digital learning tools.
  • Supporting teachers with technical classroom needs and offering solutions to IT related issues.
  • Managing software installations, upgrades, and regular maintenance of systems.
  • Ensuring the school’s technology runs smoothly, enhancing the learning experience for students.


What we’re looking for:



  • A strong interest in technology, computing, and problem-solving.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with excellent communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • No prior experience necessary – full training will be provided!


Entry requirements:



  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject.


You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.


If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.

Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
