Themoment your journey begins as anapprentice:

  • Youbecome an employed member ofstaff
  • Youwill be paid an hourlyrate
  • Youwill work towards gaining a full qualification getting full supportand attend virtual classroombased lessons. The apprenticeship willlast a minimum of 12 months. You will be working towards a Level 2diploma inChildcare.

An Apprenticeship course will take between 12 to 20 months based on30 hours worked per week. Less hours worked will increase thecourseduration.

Upon completion of your apprenticeship you will receive the EarlyYears Practitioner Level 2qualification.

Throughoutyour role you are not alone. Parenta offer you full trainingsupport guidance and are here to help you progress your career. Youeven have a personal assessor/tutor assigned to you from the momentyou start your journey as a modernapprentice.


Yourrole willinclude:

  • Workingwith children between the ages of 05 years organising activitiesbeing proactive with the help and care carried out within the earlyyears teachingsector.
  • Assistingand meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual childrenChanging nappies feeding caring and establishing a relationshipwithchildren.
  • Work(under supervision) providing all aspects of care/support tochildren ensuring they take part with day to day learning and playactivities.
  • Ensurethat the setting is safe clean and wellpresented.
  • Collaboratewith colleagues ensuring the highest standards of work are carriedout and are provided throughout your role in a positivemanner.

Tocontribute to a highquality caring environment for children. Thisincludes creating a warm friendly and stimulating atmosphere inwhich the children can develop emotionally socially andeducationally through individual attention and groupactivities.

  • Attendteam meetings and contribute relevantideas.
  • Beable to understand and implement the setting s confidentialitypolicy.
  • Contributetowards an effective and supportive teamenvironment.
  • Haveaccess to your own transport or able to get a lift the setting isnot accessible by publictransport

Throughoutthis role you will gain extensive knowledge and experience withinthe working environment which will set you up for a great careerupon completion. This will hopefully lead to permanent employmentwithin the early learning year s sector or even continue to thenext level undertaking furthertraining.
