Job summary

The Mandatory Training service is looking for a new Apprentice Administrator to join our fast-paced and successful team.

We have a great track record of helping Apprentices to fulfil their goals and achieve great results in their qualifications, going on to enjoy fabulous careers in the NHS.

Our current Apprentice is about to complete their time with the team and we very much hope that you will be interested in following in their footsteps.

Main duties of the job

Monitoring/answering queries into the department via the inbox or by telephone to support staff with their Mandatory training queries Arrange training dates and the booking of venues Support Internal and External Trainers with their training sessions Learning to become proficient in our IT system Electronic Staff Record (ESR). Monitor session uptake Promotion of training sessions Administration of Study Leave forms General administration duties to support the team, including assisting with sending delegate lists to Trainers prior to sessions and updating attendance records via ESR and following up on staff who did not attend (DNA)

About us

The Mandatory Training team currently consists of six people and it is a friendly, supportive and welcoming environment.

Apprentices in our team are welcomed as full members of the group and are given all the support they need to learn and develop. We welcome input from all members of the team at every level about ways in which we can develop and improve our service.

This is a hybrid service, meaning that team members work some of the time in the office (usually Trafalgar House in Dudley) and some of the time from home - all IT equipment is provided for this. The split of time between office and home is usually two days in the office and three days at home, but will depend on the current workload and the nature of the work required and can vary from time to time.

Qualifications

Essential

GCSE Grade C or equivalent in Math and English Good IT skills including sound knowledge of MS Office

Desirable

Confident in interacting with people on the telephone or face to face Effective written communication skills
