A totalof15 positions are availableacross Hereford, Bromsgrove and WorcesterMental Health sites.

Thisapprenticeship provides the opportunity to earn while you learn, developingboth professionally and academically in order to gain a BSc in Mental HealthNursing and register with the NMC as a qualified nurse.The apprenticeshipwill start in September 2024 and is paid at Band 2.

Youmay support various service delivery units in your preferred locality givingyou exposure and experience across a range of specialities (*please indicate on your application form your preference oflocation by stating Hereford, Bromsgrove or Worcester).

Main duties of the job

As a Trainee Nurse (Apprentice), you willcomplete your Nursing Degree Apprenticeship (RNDA) and qualify after 4 years asa Registered Mental Health Nurse. You will be a paid employee throughout andgain valuable knowledge, skills and behaviours via your experience within theTrust as well as attendance at University. The 4 year Apprenticeship will befully funded by the Trust.

You will work per week with timespent between University and work base. You will develop knowledge, skills andbehaviours allowing you to work in a dynamic and changing healthcareenvironment and will be required to commit to self-directed study, adhering tothe policies and timescales of the apprenticeship training provider. You willbe required to complete external practice placements as part of yourapprenticeship to meet NMC standards and will be expected to travel to these asnecessary.

Youwill be fully supported throughout by your line manager, University and alsothe Apprenticeship Team.

Demonstratesan understanding of mental health, wellbeing and the factors that may impactupon this.

Demonstratesan understanding of the role of a Healthcare Support Worker and progression tothe role of a nurse.

Demonstratesan understanding of the demands and requirements in completing Level 6Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship

Ability to work as part of a team, as well ason own

Displayan awareness of the importance of maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Competent with MS 365/Office packages andbasic IT Skills

Meets the entry requirements of the ESFA(including visa and residency status;

an individual must have a valid andeligible residencystatus for the last 3 years).

112 UCAS points including at least 1 Level 3 Health related qualification. Level 2 qualification in functional skills Maths and English or equivalent at GCSE grade C / 4 or above. A commitment to commencing the Level 6 Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship within 12-months of commencing employment. Care Certificate or Will be expected to meet the Care Certificate standards within 12 weeks of commencing employment with the Trust I understand that I will be asked to provide original certificates to verify my qualifications at point of offer
