Physical disabilities

Sensory processing disorders

Non-verbal communication, includingPECS,Makaton, and other AAC systems

We are looking for aqualified teacherwho is confident, creative, and resilient - someone who can deliver engaging, adapted lessons while meeting pupils' holistic needs in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

The Role Includes:

Planning and delivering highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCPs

Supporting pupils with profound and complex needs, in both academic and personal development

Working closely with multi-disciplinary teams (SALT, OT, physio, care staff)

Using alternative communication methods (PECS, Makaton, switches, eye gaze

Creating a safe, engaging, and sensory-friendly learning environment

Leading and working alongside a team of experienced SEN support staff

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS)

Experience teaching in aspecial school,resource base, oralternative provision

Knowledge of supporting pupils withphysical disabilities, including familiarity withmanual handling and hoist procedures

Experience delivering or supportingpersonal care routines

Understanding ofcommunication systemslikePECS,Makaton, orAACdevices

A nurturing, adaptable teaching style with strong behaviour management skills

Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
