Sales Assistant – Sales assistant put customers at the heart of what they do. Sales assistants are knowledgeable on the products they sell, assist customers to choose the right item for them and process payments. You could also be dealing with refunds and complaints as well as organising the shop window so it’s appealing. If you’re a people person then this could be your perfect fit.
Stockroom Assistant – Stockroom assistants make sure the shop floor has plenty of stock and ensures the stock gets delivered on time. You’ll search, pick and deliver items as well as taking stock of incoming and outgoing items.
Beauty Consultant – Do you know everything there is to know about beauty products? Good because beauty consultants need to! Your duties can include advising customers on products that would suit their needs, keeping records and managing stock/ordering more when required to do so and sometimes even giving customers a makeover.
Visual Merchandiser – Do you have a flair for brands and even fashion? Want to promote products to customers? A visual merchandiser Apprenticeship will help you to develop and deliver a strategy that will promote products online, in-store and in catalogues whilst reaching the target market.
Supervisor/Manager – A career in retail offers quick progression rate and you could find yourself training as a supervisor or manager. Supervisors/managers ensure the smooth running of the business and inspire their team. Skills needed for retail Apprenticeships
As a retail apprentice, you could be working for some the biggest companies both in the UK and worldwide. Retail Apprenticeships require you to be able to pay attention to detail, you’ll need to ensure the customer is receiving the correct change and checking the store for low stock.
Retail apprentices need to understand the company they work for, who their target market is and the products they sell to, you’ll also need to be able to communicate effectively and offer excellent customer service skills with the ability to work as a team.
