RIBA want to get the word out about architecture and their schools programme is a huge success in doing so through helping students to gain knowledge, experience and an understanding of the industry and the environment around us.

Do you want to advance your career and develop skills? If you’re looking to pursue a higher education programme in architecture, then RIBA have a wide range of opportunities available to you from design disciplines to architecture and architectural history.

Becoming an architect takes hard work, grit and determination but it’s all worth it in the end. To qualify you’ll usually study five years at university whilst also completing a minimum of two years work experience.

During your studying you’ll develop core architectural skills and a knowledge that will prepare you for your work experience within the industry. Throughout your work experience you’ll put your theoretical knowledge and skills into practice which will further enhance your career objectives and provide you with a broad scope of benefits appropriate to the architecture industry.

RIBA also offer alternative routes into architecture for those who can’t commit to full time study such as self-study routes, part time study, accredited prior learning (APL) or accredited prior experiential learning (APEL) with a range of opportunities also available to overseas and mature students.
