'Alstom Apprenticeships - A typical day at work would be to learn how the equipment worked and to find out what individual components did and how they functioned. We would work with experienced engineers who taught us how to do the job and showed us what to do. I learned a lot about the company and the different departments and how the products worked. I found it very interesting and there was always something new to learn every day.'
