What do DFS Apprenticeships involve? - DFS Apprenticeships involve a mixture of on the job training and academic study which will arm you with a range of highly sought skills, a nationally recognised qualification, real life work experience and you’ll even get paid! During your Apprenticeship, you’ll build your knowledge of the industry you’re keen to pursue.

There are an extensive range of Apprenticeship opportunities available at DFS including the following:

Service Manager – As an apprentice service manager you’ll be working towards becoming a fully qualified upholsterer and leather specialist where you’ll learn practically to develop your skills and build an understanding of how to work with timber frames, mechanisms, leather and fabric etc.

Retail – During a retail Apprenticeship with DFS you’ll be spending time on the showroom floors where you’ll learn all about DFS products so you can advise customers on products suited to their needs. You’ll spend your time learning each area which will allow you to gain an insight into the business.

Manufacturing/Sewing – Are you creative and passionate about starting your career working with different fabrics and materials? During your Apprenticeship with DFS you’ll learn elements that will help you create interesting projects.

Warehouse – If you’re looking to start your career in supply chain, then an Apprenticeship with DFS will see you working within their Customer Distribution Centres where your duties will involve quality control checks, handling furniture correctly, and will use bespoke computerised systems.
