What do UK Power Networks Apprenticeships involve?
UK Power Networks Apprenticeships combine academic study with on the job training which enable you to build your knowledge and develop your skills while also gaining essential work experience and a nationally recognised qualification relevant to the energy industry. There are an extensive range of UK Power Networks available including the following:
- Jointers – As a jointers apprentice you’ll be involved in a wide range of tasks from maintaining and restoring electrical supplies of distribution systems to carrying out jointing repairs.
- Overhead Linepersons – Do you have a head for heights? You’ll be working on overhead lines to maintain and restore electrical supplies on the UK Power Networks distribution system and carrying out reinforcements and new connections.
- Fitters – As a fitter apprentice you’ll be working on plant to ensure the maintenance, construction and faults are rectified.
