Founded in 1994, Abertay University is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the small city of Dundee, Scotland, with a population between 50,000 and 249,999. Officially recognized by the Privy Council, Abertay University (AU) is a small, coeducational UK institution with an enrollment of around 4,000 to 4,999 students.

AU offers a variety of programs leading to officially recognized qualifications, including pre-bachelor’s awards (certificates, diplomas, and foundation degrees), as well as bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees across a range of fields. With 30 years of history, the University maintains a selective admissions process based on students' academic records and achievements.

International students are encouraged to apply, and Abertay University provides a wide range of academic and non-academic facilities and services, including a library, sports facilities, financial aid and scholarships, study abroad and exchange programs, and comprehensive administrative support.
