Established in 2005, the University of Chester is a non-profit public higher education institution located in the urban setting of Chester, a small city in North West England with a population between 50,000 and 249,999. The University also operates branch campuses in Warrington, Shrewsbury, Birkenhead, and Crewe. Officially recognized by the Privy Council, the University of Chester is a large, coeducational institution with an enrollment of approximately 10,000 to 14,999 students and maintains a formal affiliation with the Christian-Anglican tradition.
