Founded in 2008, Wrexham University is a non-profit public institution located in the vibrant town of Wrexham, Wales, with additional campuses in Northop and London. Officially recognized by the Privy Council, Wrexham University is a small, coeducational university with an enrollment of around 3,000–4,000 students.

The University offers a variety of accredited programs, including pre-bachelor’s qualifications (such as certificates, diplomas, and foundation degrees), as well as bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees across multiple disciplines. Admissions are selective, based on academic performance, and international students are encouraged to apply.
