We are proud to announce that we recently became media partners with WorldSkills UK LIVE the UK’s biggest and free skills, careers and apprenticeship event.
WorldSkills UK is passionate about enhancing young people’s careers providing them with the best start to their job and life. WSUK partners with businesses, education and councils to inspire students . and encourage them to consider all of their options so that they can find the right career path for them.
WorldSkills UK works towards improving the reputation of apprenticeships and technical education so young people feel better able to discover different qualification routes. Apprenticeships were once thought to be for those who didn’t receive good grades, but that’s far from the truth.
Apprenticeships can be for anyone who is keen to get out into the world of work but still wants to gain a qualification. A common question asked is ‘but doesn’t that mean I can’t get a degree?’ Not at all! Higher and degree apprenticeships enable young people to qualify with a foundation, HND, full bachelor’s degree (Level 6) or master’s degree (Level 7).
WorldSkills UK are made up of 3 core programmes. These include:
Directions – All pathways must be started and it’s the same with a career path.
WorldSkills UK deliver a number of exciting and engaging events which showcase apprenticeships, employers and training providers to enhance young people’s opportunities.
Champions – WorldSkills UK are dedicated to transforming apprentice and student opportunities through their competitions. You could enter the National Skills Competition and even qualify for the international Competition. These are designed by experts in the industry and focus on equipping young people with world class skills. If you’re driven and want to pursuit skills at the highest level, then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you!
Accelerate – Created to fast-track young people’s developments and skill sets, this programme combines research, reports and thinking to design products and services to the business and education sectors.
