Upskilling and Reskilling
Upskilling and reskilling can help prepare you for the future. Upskilling allows you to develop new skills to help support your current job role. Whereas reskilling enables you to gain new skills so you can do a different job.
Both are critical, now more than ever. We’re living in a period called the ‘Fourth Industrial Revolution’ meaning AI, technology and automation are all remodelling our roles and approach to work, in turn, helping to meet the demands of the future.
Technology isn’t the only reason why you may need to upskill and reskill. Think about unforeseen economic downturns, such as the COVID-19 pandemic and 2008 Financial Crash. Certain industries have been more affected than others, which is why now is the most important time to begin considering your options and investing in your future.
