What will you be doing during a maintenance operations Apprenticeship in London?
In short; everything. You’ll do all the general repairs and maintenance needed to keep buildings in good running order.
Your typical duties could include anything from repairing roofing and guttering to painting walls. Hanging doors and fitting skirting boards to repairing or rebuilding walls. If you’re looking for a job where no two days are the same, then a maintenance operation Apprenticeship will suit you down to a T. Other jobs could include fitting kitchens and bathrooms, tiling walls and floors, undertaking small plumbing repairs and minor electrical tasks, performing checks on security and fire appliances, masonry work such as external walls or steps, laying slabs, erecting fences, laying vinyl flooring, and glazing and replacing glass.

There are plenty of progression routes for a maintenance operation apprentice. You could work as self employed. Due to gaining experience in a wide variety of working environments, you may also choose to specialise in a specific sector such as painting and decorating.
